Alejandro Glatt is a very proud Mexican artist who has a very special connection with papayas. Papayas not only give inspiration for his artwork but they provide the special energy for the “Feel the Fruit” movement to bring people closer to their own feelings and the beauty of the natural world.
Where are you from and what do you do?
I am an artist from the vibrant land of Mexico! My work revolves around the beautiful intersection of art, technology, and nature. I explore the profound connection between humanity and freedom through the medium of fruits, with a special focus on papayas. My mission is to bring people closer to their feelings and the essence of life through my “Feel the Fruit” movement.
Why papayas?
Ah, papayas! They are not just fruits; they are symbols of freedom, sensuality, and deep feelings. The papayas’ rich history and vibrant energy has captivated me. While I cherish all fruits and their unique energies, papayas hold a special place in my heart. They represent a bridge between the physical and spiritual realms, and they embody the essence of my artistic vision. Other fruits are beautiful too, and each has its own story to tell, but papayas are my muses.
How has your life changed when you discovered the spacial connection between yourself and the papayas?
Discovering the special connection with papayas was a transformative experience. It was like unlocking a new dimension of creativity and consciousness. The papaya became a vessel through which I could express my deepest emotions and connect with others on a profound level. It brought a sense of freedom and liberation to my art, allowing me to explore and share the boundless possibilities of human expression and connection.
What does it take to be a papaya artist?
To be a papaya artist takes a deep sense of passion, curiosity, and openness to the world around you. You need to embrace the beauty and complexity of nature, and be willing to dive into your own emotions and experiences. It’s about feeling the fruit, connecting with its essence, and letting that connection guide your creativity. It’s a journey of self-discovery and expression, where you allow the fruit to inspire and transform you.
Papayas are taking you around the world, attracting you to many special places, with many special people. Do you have any favorite place, and if you do, why?
Travelling with papayas has been an incredible adventure! Each place holds its own magic, but Tulum, Mexico, is particularly close to my heart. The lush jungles, the vibrant culture, and the deep connection to nature make it the perfect backdrop for my work. It’s a place where the energy of the earth and the spirit of the people resonate deeply with the essence of the “Feel the Fruit” movement.
You travelling, moving around a lot. How do manage to stay focused on your artwork? Do you have a daily routine?
Every day is an adventure. I start every day with a moment of gratitude and meditation, connecting with my surroundings, and immersing myself in nature. I spend time working on my art, exploring new ideas, and engaging with the community. Whether it is a photoshoot, a creative session, or a collaborative project, my day is filled with the vibrant energy of papayas and the joy of artistic expression.
What do you like the most about being a papaya artist?
The best part is the incredible connection I get to make with people. Through my art, I can share a piece of my soul and touch the hearts of others. It’s a profound and rewarding experience to see how the “Feel the Fruit” movement inspires and uplifts people, bringing them closer to their own feelings and the beauty of the natural world.
What is the hardest part about being a papaya artist?
The hardest part is balancing the artistic vision with practical realities. There are challenges in logistics, funding, and sometimes even in finding the right platforms to share my work. But these challenges are also opportunities for growth and innovation, pushing me to find creative solutions and stay true to my mission.
Do you have any advice to those who want to become an artist?
Absolutely! Embrace your uniqueness and let your passion guide you. Art is about expressing your truth and connecting with others on a deep level. Don’t be afraid to take risks, explore new ideas, and push the boundaries of your creativity. And most importantly, stay true to your vision and let your heart lead the way.
What is your message to the world?
My message to the world is to embrace the freedom of expression and the beauty of connection. Through the “Feel the Fruit” movement, I aim to inspire people to connect with their feelings, celebrate their individuality, and recognize the profound beauty in nature and humanity. My mission is to create a world where art, nature, and technology come together to uplift and empower us all.
What are your plans for the future?
The future is filled with exciting possibilities! I plan to continue expanding the “Feel the Fruit” movement, exploring new artistic mediums, and collaborating with other creatives around the world. I am also passionate about using my platform to advocate for gender equality and amplify the voices of women. There are so many stories to tell and so much beauty to share, and I can’t wait to see where this journey takes me next!
What is your favorite quote?
One of my favorite quotes is by Frida Kahlo: “Feet, what do I need you for when I have wings to fly?” This quote embodies the spirit of freedom and limitless potential that I strive to capture in my work.
Is there anything else you’d like to say to our readers?
Yes! I would love to invite everyone to join the “Feel the Fruit” movement. Let’s come together to celebrate freedom, fruits, and feelings, and create a world where art and nature inspire and connect us all. Whether it’s through my artwork, our events, or simply sharing your own stories, let’s make this a journey of collective empowerment and joy!
